AYURVIHAR is a concept visualized, born and nourished since 1995 by Dr.K.Nagaraja Samaga. Ayurvihar extended many services to the general public like awareness and approach to positive health, educating the patients to manage their health problems themselves , periodic consultations, supply of quality medicines, organizing free health checkup camps for Goan population and so on…. Ayurvihar never left behind in creating awareness about Ayurveda to common man.
AYURVIHAR as a team has organized many FREE health checkup camps throughout SOUTH GOA since year 2001.The clinic is organizing Bone Mineral Density testing camp at regular intervals free of cost in association with reputed HIMALAYA DRUG COMPANY.
Dr. Nagaraja Samaga is the Chief Medical Director of AYURVIHAR working with a team of enthusiastic and dedicated professionals. Mrs. Sreelatha Samaga is the Managing Director Of Ayurvihar. She is a pharmacist by profession done her Bachelor and Masters in Pharmacy (B.Pharm. M.Pharm.) at Vutkoor Lakshmayya College of Pharmacy, Raichur (GULBARGA UNIVERSITY) well known for her managerial skills.
Dr. Nagaraja learnt basic course of Ayurveda from S.D.M.Ayurvedic medical college, UDUPI Karnataka. After studying the bachelor course on Ayurveda (B.A.M.S.) for 5 ½ years he continued his study to have a Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.-Ayu. Herb. Med.) in an internationally reputed and highly prestigious INSTITUTE OF POST-GRADUATE TEACHING AND RESEARCH IN AYURVEDA, GUJARAT AYURVEDA UNIVERSITY, JAMNAGAR, INDIA.

He worked as a HON. HOUSE PHYSICIAN For ONE YEAR from July 1992 to June 1993 in the I. P. G. T. & R. hospital.

He worked as HON. CLINICAL REGISTRAR For TWO YEARS From July 1993 to June 1995 in the UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL.

His research work on the evaluation of plants BARLERIA PRIONITIS, STROBILANTHES HEYNEANUS and S. SESSILIS on immuno-compromised inflammatory disorders with special reference to Rheumatoid Arthritis was highly appreciated by Ayurveda researchers
He worked as a PROFESSOR and HEAD of the departments of Ayurveda Herbal Medicine (Dravya Guna) and Toxicology & Forensic Medicine (Agada tantra) for a long 8 ½ years at Gomantak Ayurvedic Medical College, GOA
He also served as Board Of Studies member for Ayurvedic paraclinical departments at GOA UNIVERSITY.
He was organising workshops for primary, secondary and college students to bring awareness about Ayurveda & medicinal plants which grow in their vicinity , their identification, collection, cultivation and their medicinal uses.
